Your role at a glance

The Benefits Analyst plays a key role in shaping an exceptional employee experience by designing, analysing, and managing benefit programs that are competitive, cost-effective and compliant.

This role collaborates with vendors and internal teams to leverage data insights, improve processes, and enhance program performance.

    KEY responsibilities

    Benefits Strategy & Governance

    • Manage and oversee employee benefits programs across the countries in APAC & India, ensuring alignment with company objectives, competitiveness, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Evaluate and benchmark existing benefits offerings to maintain market competitiveness and support talent attraction and retention.
    • Ensure all programs comply with statutory and regulatory requirements in each country of operation.
    • Partner with internal stakeholders to align benefits strategy with overall HR and business goals.

    Program Administration & Operations

    • Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, and terminations, within HRIS systems with accuracy and efficiency.
    • Maintain detailed and accurate records, reports, and documentation to support audits and internal compliance.
    • Monitor plan utilization and claims data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Coordinate renewals and implementations to ensure seamless program transitions.

    Vendor & Broker Management

    • Collaborate with insurance carriers, brokers, and third-party vendors to negotiate rates, renewals, and plan enhancements.
    • Manage vendor relationships to ensure service quality, performance, and adherence to contractual agreements.

    Employee Experience & Communication

    • Act as a knowledgeable advisor to employees, providing guidance and support on benefits-related inquiries.
    • Serve as a liaison between employees and providers to resolve complex benefit issues effectively and empathetically.
    • Develop and deliver engaging benefits communication materials, presentations, and education sessions to enhance employee understanding and engagement.

    Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement

    • Analyze benefits data, utilization reports, and employee feedback to identify opportunities for program optimization.
    • Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and employee satisfaction. Advise HR, leadership, and employees on benefits program interpretation, policies, and practices.

    KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES

    • Strong understanding of APAC & India benefits regulations and compliance requirements across multiple countries.
    • Working knowledge of core employee benefits programs, including healthcare, life assurance, disability, pension, and wellness plans.
    • Familiarity with local employment legislation in APAC & India related to employee benefits and social security.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present clearly to small and large groups.
    • Professional, solution-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, multicultural team.
    • Demonstrates integrity, reliability, and consistent attendance to support business needs.

    ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Relevant Total Rewards related certifications required.  

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    • 2+ years of progressive experience in benefits administration.
    • Moderate knowledge of benefits practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends.
    • Proven experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts.
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret benefits data and market insights.
    • Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experienced in HRIS or benefits administration systems.

    PHYSICAL requirements

    • Primarily sitting with some walking, standing, and bending.
    • Able to hear and speak into a telephone.
    • Close visual work on a computer terminal.
    • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required to operate computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments

    Work conditions & other requirements

    • This position is expected to be remote for the foreseeable future with an occasional need to be onsite in a shared work environment.
    • Must have flexible work schedule to accommodate across global business hours
    • Travel will be required, up to 10%.
