In summary, what does the role entail?

The Industrial Designer contributes to the development and improvement of our products by creating, modifying, and maintaining technical drawings (products, molds, tools, and buildings). This role plays a key part in organizing and updating technical documentation, in collaboration with internal teams and partners.

What is the ideal profile for this position?

  • Certification or training related to 2D and 3D drawing with 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Proficiency with design software (Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office
  • Project management experience and ERP knowledge (assets)
  • Knowledge of plastics/thermoforming (asset)
  • Organized, autonomous, and analytical, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Excellent bilingual communication skills, both verbal and written; proficiency in French is essential

As a Industrial Designer what will your responsibilities be?

 

  • Receive, analyze, and prioritize technical requests
  • Manage assigned projects from start to finish, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Design, modify, and produce high-quality 2D/3D technical drawings
  • Update plans (products, facilities, service networks, emergency plans, etc.)
  • Perform measurements and analyses required for design work
  • Identify and resolve design-related issues
  • Ensure proper organization, classification, and documentation of drawings
  • Collaborate with teams, communicate progress, and support/train interns
