Sitting within the Live Nation family and operating alongside the iconic Spark Arena, this is a rare opportunity to lead a venue with real personality and a loyal following.

In this full-time role, you’ll own the day-to-day operation of The Tuning Fork, from F&B delivery and financial performance to team leadership and venue presentation. You’ll work closely with the GM of Spark Arena and the broader Live Nation team to grow show count, maximise revenue, and ensure every event is executed to the highest standard, whether it’s an intimate gig or a sold-out club night.

If you’re a hospitality operator who thrives in a live music environment and knows how to get the best out of a team, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now with your resume and a cover letter telling us why you’re the perfect fit for this role.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Venue and event operations: Oversee the day-to-day running of The Tuning Fork, ensuring every event is planned and delivered to the highest standard across F&B, security, and presentation.
  • F&B leadership: Drive food and beverage performance, keeping across market trends and ensuring product selection suits the diverse range of audiences through the door.
  • Financial management: Own the venue’s P&L, contribute to annual budgets and capex planning, and maintain accurate monthly forecasting and reporting in conjunction with the Live Nation finance team.
  • Team development: Recruit, roster, and lead a passionate team of full-time, casual, and contract staff, building a culture that reflects the energy and vibe of The Tuning Fork.
  • Compliance and licensing: Act as the venue’s Liquor Licensee and ensure all obligations under the Liquor Act, food safety, and health and safety legislation are always met.
  • Stakeholder relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with hirers, promoters, suppliers, and contractors, serving as the key point of contact for all front of house requirements.

What you’ll bring:

  • Venue and bar management experience: A solid background running hospitality or live entertainment venues, with a strong understanding of F&B operations and event delivery.
  • Leadership capability: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Commercial acumen: Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and driving revenue across multiple income streams.
  • Compliance knowledge: Current or willingness to obtain a License Controller Qualification, plus working knowledge of H&S and liquor licensing requirements.
  • Live entertainment know-how: Familiarity with the technical and operational demands of live events, and experience working with promoters and production crews.
  • Adaptability and problem-solving: A calm, solutions-focused operator who can pivot quickly and keep things running smoothly when the unexpected happens.

The Benefits:

  • A vibrant, music-focused workplace fostering creativity and collaboration.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
  • A flexible approach to when and where you work, designed to support balance in all aspects of life.
  • Access to concerts, events, and other entertainment perks.
  • A diverse, equitable workplace where every voice matters.
  • Comprehensive benefits, from volunteer days to wellness programs and mental health support.
