Backend Development Intern | Lisbon

Our Unbabel division is looking for a curious and motivated Backend Development Intern to join our Engineering Team. As we deliver seamless, scalable translation solutions across platforms for enterprise partners, you’ll gain hands-on experience designing and building backend systems that power intelligent, multilingual workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Work with engineers to design and implement new backend features and integrations.

• Help maintain, test, and optimize our codebases.

• Collaborate to solve real problems and deliver practical solutions for our business partners.

• Participate in code reviews and team discussions to learn best practices in code quality and architecture.

• Assist with troubleshooting and debugging backend systems.

• Document your work to help improve our team’s processes.

• Learn about cloud platforms, API design, and database structures (with mentorship!).
