Azure Data Fabric Architect
Role & responsibilities
- Lead Data Strategy and Technical architecture for end-to-end solutions across fabric.
- Develop data architecture and design patterns to process and store high volume data sets.
- Design/build infrastructure and backend components/frameworks to support data and analytics products.
- Analyse and suggest the data pipeline development framework using Fabric architecture.
- Design and build products in collaboration with business partners and technology teams.
- Improve data management practices (quality, governance, security, privacy)
- Clean, prepare, and optimize data at scale for ingestion and consumption.
- Analyse data and deliver scalable solutions to meet product feature requirements.
Preferred candidate profile
- MS or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Statistics, Engineering, a related field, or practical experience is required.
- Understanding of Semantic Layer Architectures to refine and optimize the technical environment for agility and performance.
- 5+ years of experience applying statistics or machine learning techniques development and design working on high availability systems.
- Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, Python, JavaScript, Data Warehouse, and reporting frameworks, relational or NoSQL database experience, test automation.
- Experience with ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic visualization tools.
- Advanced experience building high performance, cloud scalable, data lake solutions utilizing Azure Native Services
- Expertise in relational SQL
- Expertise in building automated data pipelines for cleaning, preparing, and optimizing data for ingestion and consumption.
- Candidates are expected to be hypothesis driven with passion for data and should be experienced in making data-driven business decisions.
- Candidates must be comfortable in manipulating and analysing complex, high dimensional data from varying sources to solve complex/ambiguous problems and should be able to communicate complex ideas/concepts in a simpler form to leadership or to partner teams/engineers.
- Must be able to perform effectively as part of a project "team".
