What you'll be doing:

As the Senior Chemist and Quality Management Systems Lead, you’ll take charge of Avon’s QA Analytical Laboratory operations, ensuring that all testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. You’ll lead a team of chemists, manage lab resources, and oversee documentation and certification processes for our Integrated Management System (IMS). Your role will be pivotal in supporting manufacturing operations, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining compliance with ISO, RSPO, cGMP, and Philippine Chemistry Law requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supervising critical chemical, physical, and instrumental analyses across various product stages.
  • Managing laboratory operations, including training, resource planning, and external testing coordination.
  • Leading Quality Management System (QMS) compliance and certification efforts.
  • Supporting technical investigations and risk assessments for non-conforming products.
  • Overseeing product disposition and supplier audits.
  • Conducting cross-functional training to enhance product quality.
  • Ensuring adherence to GMP, EHS, and security policies.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry
  • PRC Licensed Chemist
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in supply chain manufacturing or laboratory analysis
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, LIMS, and cosmetic formulations
  • Proven experience in ISO audits (QMS, EMS, EHS, cGMP) and RSPO standards
  • Excellent analytical, planning, and communication skills
  • Ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional projects
  • IRCA Lead Auditor certification is a plus
  • Superior color matching and fragrance evaluation skills (must not be color blind)
