The Role
We are seeking an Audit Staff to join our team! In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on audits, reviews, compilations within a variety of different industry niches.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify accounting issues under U.S. GAAP.
- Prepare thorough and accurate audit documentation.
- Research and analyze financial statement issues.
- Develop and maintain relationships with client personnel to develop a better understanding of business operations, processes, and functions.
- Stay informed on current economic developments relevant to clients’ business and industry.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business with a certificate in accounting from an accredited university
- Minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience
- Applied working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
- Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written with excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrates an ability to function at a high level in a deadline driven, time-sensitive environment
- Highly organized, able to prioritize tasks, responsive and polished communication skills (verbal and written).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 0+ years of public accounting experience
- Working toward / willingness to pursue CPA license
- Willingness to develop thorough understanding of GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Demonstrate an ability to function at a high level in a deadline drive, time-sensitive environment
Location
At Wilson Lewis, we’re focused on creating a collaborative environment. This individual would ideally sit in the Duluth office but is also welcome to sit at the Atlanta, or Gainesville location, or a hybrid of the 3 depending on commute.
