The Role

We are seeking an Audit Staff to join our team! In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on audits, reviews, compilations within a variety of different industry niches. 

Key Responsibilities

• Identify accounting issues under U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare thorough and accurate audit documentation.
• Research and analyze financial statement issues.  
• Develop and maintain relationships with client personnel to develop a better understanding of business operations, processes, and functions.  
• Stay informed on current economic developments relevant to clients’ business and industry.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business with a certificate in accounting from an accredited university
• Minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience
• Applied working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
• Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written with excellent attention to detail.
• Demonstrates an ability to function at a high level in a deadline driven, time-sensitive environment
• Highly organized, able to prioritize tasks, responsive and polished communication skills (verbal and written).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field 
• 0+ years of public accounting experience 
• Working toward / willingness to pursue CPA license 
• Willingness to develop thorough understanding of GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
• Attention to detail
• Demonstrate an ability to function at a high level in a deadline drive, time-sensitive environment

Location

At Wilson Lewis, we’re focused on creating a collaborative environment. This individual would ideally sit in the Duluth office but is also welcome to sit at the Atlanta, or Gainesville location, or a hybrid of the 3 depending on commute.
