Job Title: Assistant Manager – Engineering

Location - Kharadi, Infra SEZ -Pune

Position Overview

The Assistant Manager – Engineering supports the Facility Manager (Engineering) in managing building maintenance operations, infrastructure, and technical systems. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical expertise, execution capability, and coordination skills to ensure efficient, safe, and reliable facility operations.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Support & Execution

• Support planning and execution of infrastructure maintenance programs and facility improvement projects
• Assist in analyzing operational processes, equipment performance, and energy consumption to identify efficiency improvements
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems

Equipment & Systems Management

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance of critical equipment and building systems
• Monitor system performance and coordinate timely repairs to minimize downtime
• Maintain records for equipment specifications, maintenance history, and warranties

Resource & Vendor Coordination

• Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized works
• Supervise technicians and maintenance staff in assigned areas
• Support vendor evaluation, service contract management, and quality checks

Utilities & Cost Control

• Monitor utilities consumption (electricity, water, HVAC)
• Identify cost-saving and energy optimization opportunities
• Prepare utility consumption reports and trend analysis

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, building codes, and safety standards
• Participate in safety audits and implement corrective actions
• Maintain statutory documentation related to fire, electrical, and environmental compliance

Administrative & Reporting

• Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and technical documentation
• Prepare operational and performance reports for management review
• Assist in budget tracking, expense monitoring, and forecasting for maintenance and capex activities

Required Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline

Experience:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in facilities engineering, building maintenance, or technical operations

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and fire safety systems
• Experience with preventive maintenance practices and FM best practices
• Familiarity with energy management and sustainability initiatives
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
• Working knowledge of facility management and maintenance tracking systems

Leadership & Communication

• Ability to supervise and guide technical teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Effective stakeholder and vendor coordination

Analytical & Problem-Solving

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and make sound technical decisions
• High attention to detail and organization
