Associate, Order Operations - Trade-In Payments & Controls
The Order Operations team is a cornerstone of Tesla's Sales & Delivery organization in EMEA, bridging key functions like tax, finance, accounting, global order operations, local sales, and delivery teams. Our primary mission is to ensure every vehicle is delivered to Tesla customers with the correct price, configuration, and billing documentation required for seamless revenue recognition in full compliance with SOX standards.
You'll join the vital Order Operations – Billing and Compliance team at Tesla HQ, where you'll drive meaningful improvements to internal processes and influence outcomes across EMEA markets. In this dynamic role, you'll handle trade-in payment requests to create a frictionless customer journey from order to delivery, while leading quarterly Vehicle Count Audits and managing essential back-office operations such as customer orders, trade-ins, lease-end returns and revenue recognition. You'll also collaborate extensively with HQ departments, EMEA teams, and US counterparts, gaining exposure to diverse operational challenges and the freedom to experiment with innovative workflows in a high-impact, fast-paced environment.

Manage daily incoming trade-in payment requests, ensuring accuracy, timely processing, accurate reconciliation, and resolution of discrepancies to maintain smooth operations
Analyze and optimize the trade-in payments workflow by identifying and eliminating unnecessary manual steps, with a focus on developing automation solutions to achieve full process efficiency
Conduct end-of-quarter vehicle count audits to verify inventory accuracy and prepare comprehensive reports for submission to Controllership
Coordinate with local teams on audit activities, providing clear feedback, clarifications, and resolutions for corner cases to ensure consistent execution
Drive continuous improvement in the vehicle count audit process by automating repetitive tasks, reducing manual interventions, and enhancing overall scalability
Act as backup support for SOX compliance and internal controls, assisting with documentation, testing, and remediation activities as needed for the primary assignee
Collaborate cross-functionally to monitor process performance metrics, identify risks, and implement enhancements that support financial accuracy and operational excellence
