Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the independently incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates, which operate non-profit health centers across the U.S. PPFA also works to educate the public on and advocate for issues of sexual and reproductive health. Formed as the advocacy arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Planned Parenthood Action Fund is a separate non-profit membership organization tax-exempt under section 501(c)(4). The Action Fund engages in educational, advocacy, and limited electoral activity, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education in furtherance of the Planned Parenthood mission.
Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund (Action Fund) seek an Associate Director, Social Media, Health and Education. This job reports to the Director of Social Media, Health, Culture, and Events department of PPFA. The Associate Director, Social Media, Health and Education is a role designed to support the development and execution of content across Planned Parenthood’s social channels, influencer content to cultivate new audience sets that ladder up to our strategic vision via this work. This role is a critical investment established to expand and bolster brand familiarity, as well as fight back against political or administrative attacks on our health care or the services we provide.

Purpose:
• This role will collaborate with key members of the External Affairs unit to execute audience-first content and strategies for our social media properties. They will oversee the day-to-day execution of national channels, and manage integration of organizational goals into content development – including prioritizing short and long-term projects along with performing day-to-day responsibilities and rapid response moments.
