THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE

SCIB (Global Banking Business Development) is looking for an Associate Business Development & Strategy based out of Luca de Tena office. (MADRID)

As a Business Developer, you will be in a cross-functional team responsible to support origination and product teams within Global Banking as well as to lead and execute strategic initiatives.

We’re shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Portfolio Oversight, driving the monitoring and control of relevant KPIs with the business areas, countries and external advisors involved in the different processes. Primarily related to financials and commercial activity and follow up on market trends. Having to work alongside Financial Control, ACPM and other stakeholders within the division.

  • The jobholder will be expected to critically evaluate, review and challenge back on materials, thus this role also has a high technical content.

  • Strategy, supporting the global businesses, develop and execute the business strategic plan across different geographies.

  • Assist preparing materials and strategic presentations to support Global Banking senior management.

  • Governance, managing Governance adequacy and aligning business with SCIB policies and processes.

  • Be aware of innovation trends and new tools for originating and executing loans and bonds.

Professional Experience

  • Previous experience in finance or related roles (2-5 years)

Education

  • University degree (most recommended in Economics, Finance or STEAM)

Languages

  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Hard Skills

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PPT, VBA, Power BI).

  • Programming/Power Bi and other automation tools is a plus. (Preferred)

Soft Skills

  • Analytical and detail oriented.

  • Diligent, proactive and forward-thinking.

  • Good communications skills.

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently on a fast-paced environment.
