Expected salary range of $70,200 to $78,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Primary Purpose of Position

The primary function for this position will be to accurately capture, settle and confirm all third party and inter-company energy commodity transactions including pricing and volumetric verifications. Provide supporting documentation for monthly financial close and financial planning and analysis processes. Identifies settlement and confirmation discrepancies while collaborating with customers, schedulers and traders to resolve data issues in a timely and accurate manner. Assist in the actualization of physical and financial contracts and their related costs. Responsible for accurate trade validation and modeling of all trades in the risk system to ensure proper credit, risk, financial and trading position reporting. Processes all invoices or confirms for energy and other commodity sales, reconciles brokerage data for invoicing purposes and checks balancing invoices to identify any penalties or imbalance charges. Perform the timely forecasting, processing, reconciliation, and exception reporting of accounts payable and accounts receivable.


Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • Daily trade verification and position settlement with trading counterparties, including discrepancy tracking and resolution, to ensure an accurate Daily Profit Statement.
  • Validate and reconcile all energy commodity transaction data for regional owned and contracted units used in the accurate reporting to external government agencies, Independent System Operators, and Power Marketing groups.
  • Demonstrate ability to decompose risk elements of portfolios being managed by the commercial business
  • Accurate and timely invoice and trade confirmation reconciliation of counterparties for all commodities.
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable forecasting, processing, and reconciliation.
  • Participate in the identification and assessment of the overall risks within the Corporation.
  • Provide support for other Operations, Risk, Financial Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis and Trading & Origination activities.
  • Travel required as necessary to meet business needs.
  • In-person attendance for training, all-hands meetings, and other meaningful engagements.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, or 2 years of equivalent experience in lieu of the degree
  • 3-years of relevant position experience
  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • Proficient PC and computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, Visio, Power Point, Passport, PeopleSoft Hyperion), work processing, spreadsheet applications, eSourcing tool, flow charting and/or SQL database query development

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-year of industry experience
  • Understanding of financial statement relationships, accounting principles, with analyzation capabilities to support corporate development initiatives
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to support individual, shared and organizational issues, goals and targets
  • Ability to clearly communicate both orally and in writing and work effectively across business units, functional groups, multiple levels of the Corporation and external stakeholders
