Assistant Professor of Engineering

Job Description: The Department of Chemistry and Physics at SWOSU seeks qualified individuals to serve as an Assistant Professor of Engineering with a preferred emphasis in Mechanical Engineering. The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to teaching and directing student projects at the undergraduate level in their specialty. Primary teaching responsibilities include lectures and labs within the Engineering Physics curriculum and assisting with the further development of and teaching a two-semester engineering capstone sequence matched to the specialty of the candidate. Experience in an industrial setting is preferred but not required. Screening of applications will begin in January and continue until the position is filled. The expected start date for the position is August 12, 2026.
