The Role

As Assistant Manager, you will be overseeing the daily function of the Proper Food SFO location in Terminal One, with the support of your General Manager. The SFO team consists of 15-25 team members.  You will be responsible for cultivating the culture of the store, and your management style will influence the flow of each business day. We are looking for someone who is communicative, dependable, friendly, enthusiastic and hardworking to manage our SFO location in Terminal One.

 

This location is open daily, 365 days of the year, and our Assistant Manager will be required to have open availability to be on shift to support the GM and team as needed..

Assistant Managers are salaried employees whose work schedule is based on the needs of the store.

 

Your Responsibilities

·       Support the daily functions of the store - taking inventory, labor management, assisting the team during peak times, overseeing deliveries, delivering catering orders, cleaning & other to-dos

·       Maintain company & store culture

·       Train & develop team - provide and model customer service and food handling standards

·       Oversee work performance - administer feedback directly to team members & shift leads; Relay performance concerns to upper management and HR for support.

·       Escort new Team Members during their badging process

·       Learn each seasonal menu - be a go- to source for information on ingredients, dietary restrictions and preferences

·       Support the GM with ordering supplies & managing inventory

·       Oversee accounting and cash handling, make daily bank deposits

·       Ensure food safety standards are maintained at all times

·       Maintain cleanliness and function of store and its equipment

·       Foster good relationship with management, peers & team members companywide

·       Be flexible - be able to cover shifts in case of employee absence

·       Be the boots on the ground:, we expect our assistant managers to do everything a Team Member does!

·       Ability to push, pull, carry up to 30 pounds
