Assistant Manager of People & Culture
We are looking for a passionate, people-focused, and capable Assistant People & Culture Manager to support the overall People & Culture function of the resort. This role will assist in driving all key HR activities including recruitment, team member engagement, employee relations, performance support, training coordination, policy implementation, payroll coordination, and compliance.
The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring smooth daily HR operations while helping to build a strong workplace culture aligned with company values and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the People & Culture Manager in the day-to-day operation of the P&C department
- Assist in recruitment activities including job posting, screening, interviewing coordination, and onboarding
- Ensure smooth induction and orientation for new team members
- Support employee engagement activities, welfare programs, and team member events
- Help manage attendance, leave, personnel records, and HR documentation
- Assist in payroll preparation and coordination with the finance team
- Maintain accurate team member data in HR systems and files
- Support performance management processes including probation follow-up and appraisals
- Guide team members and leaders on company policies, procedures, and HR practices
- Assist in handling employee relations matters in a professional and confidential manner
- Monitor compliance with labour regulations, company standards, and internal policies
- Support learning and development activities, training coordination, and compliance training records
- Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and monthly updates as required
- Assist in accommodation, welfare, and general administration matters relating to team members
- Take part in projects and initiatives related to culture, engagement, retention, and HR improvement

- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of HR or People & Culture experience, preferably in hospitality
- Previous Maldives resort experience will be an added advantage
- Good understanding of HR operations, recruitment, employee relations, and labour compliance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity
- Good organisation skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and also as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with HR systems will be an advantage
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
