Assistant Manager - Ad Sales

Job Summary

In this individual contributor role, you will work with the largest customers and agency planners to establish long-term partnerships for advertisers within a designated industry. You will own revenue targets for key accounts and utilise your understanding of market dynamics, and digital ad inventories to create value for your clients.

 

 About the team

Star Utsav is a dominating #1 in the FTA Hindi general entertainment genre commanding more than 35% viewership shares.  North is a key market for the FTA Hindi GEC cluster comprising Star Utsav and Colors Rishtey.Given the scale and growth trajectory of the business, the role is critical to effectively manage and expand advertiser relationships in the region.The FTA television advertising market continues to see steady growth, driven by strong reach in mass markets and increasing advertiser interest from both traditional and emerging categories.To capitalize on this opportunity, it is important to onboard passionate and results-driven sales professionals who bring strong market relationships, agency connect, and client access.This hire will play an important role in strengthening our presence in the North market and accelerating revenue growth for the FTA GEC portfolio.

 

Key Responsibilities

This is an individual contributor role where you will own the revenue targets for key accounts within the Entertainment Business in a specific industry

The focus will be on maximizing revenue potential and positioning Jiostar as a premium destination for digital investments

You will be Jiostar’s ambassador in the market for the accounts you own. You will be expected to understand India’s Digital ecosystem, stay abreast with industry trends and innovations alongwith establishing and demonstrating an understanding of JioStar’s ad solutions and capabilities

You will be expected to maintain a healthy sales pipeline on a regular basis; be proactive in highlighting any roadblocks and maintain high standards in sales processes

You will be expected to manage all stakeholder relationships end to end with minimum supervision

Acting as an advisor on brand solutions in a strategic way and drive business

You will also be focusing on deeper client interactions to drive case studies, client interviews, executing joint business plans & maintaining monthly run rates etc.

You will work closely with the cross functional ads revenue team for the conceptualization & execution of all deals for your accounts

 

Skills & Attributes for success :

Understanding Key account management principles/consultative selling

Should be both a category & a brand builder with a strong ability to drive and achieve sales targets

Excellent interpersonal & communication skills

Comfort to use data and analytics while building on client conversations at deal level

Ability to leverage relationships, build a strong network, and have effective negotiations, and utilizing these to drive new business

Persistence to drive sales from exploration to deal closures

Communication skills, Internal & External people /stakeholder management, Team player, expertise in MS Office. 

 

Preferred Education & Experience

Basic experience in Television and understanding metrics.
