Assistant Manager - Electrical

Key Responsibilities of Role
- Oversee the day-to-day electrical operations within the copper manufacturing complex, ensuring all systems are functioning optimally and safely.
- Plan, schedule, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical equipment including motors, transformers, switchgears, control panels, and associated electrical infrastructure.
- Conduct detailed electrical inspections and diagnostic tests to identify issues, failures, or inefficiencies, and recommend timely corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, safety, and quality departments to ensure integrated operational performance.
- Lead root cause analysis investigations on electrical failures or incidents to develop robust solutions and prevent recurrence.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, Adani’s safety protocols, and environmental standards in all electrical activities.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, maintenance records, and standard operating procedures to enhance operational transparency and knowledge sharing.
- Support the implementation of new electrical systems, upgrades, and automation projects, working with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders for seamless integration.
- Mentor and guide junior electrical engineers and technicians to build a strong and skilled maintenance team aligned with Adani’s culture of continuous development.
- Analyze electrical load demands and energy consumption patterns to identify opportunities for energy efficiency and cost savings in line with Adani’s sustainability initiatives.
- Participate actively in safety audits, risk assessments, and training programs to foster a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Drive initiatives for technology adoption and digital transformation in electrical maintenance practices to improve reliability and predictive maintenance.
- Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure availability of critical electrical spares and equipment.
- Manage emergency response and troubleshooting during electrical breakdowns, ensuring rapid restoration of operations with minimal impact.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field - 2-8 years of experience in electrical engineering roles within the Copper Manufacturing or related heavy industry sectors.
- Deep understanding of electrical distribution systems, motor controls, transformers, and switchgear operations.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial automation technologies.
- Knowledge of electrical design standards and electrical CAD tools.
- Proficiency in electrical testing and diagnostic equipment usage.
- Familiarity with predictive maintenance techniques and electrical asset management.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and compliance requirements.
- Experience with energy management and power factor correction.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
