What you will do

Position Summary

The Assistant Innovation Manager plays a key supporting role within the Innovation & BD team, focusing on early‑stage innovation project support. This position is primarily responsible for conducting market research, gathering consumer and category insights, analyzing competitive landscapes, and supporting the development of product concepts. By building strong insight foundations, this role helps accelerate the identification and incubation of innovation opportunities, contributing to the long‑term growth of Kenvue China.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support Pipeline Development

  • Assist in gathering and synthesizing market trends, consumer insights, and category dynamics to support the development of innovation concepts and opportunities.

  • Participate in early‑stage opportunity identification by scanning industry trends, competitive products, and white‑space opportunities.

2. Market Research & Insight Generation

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative market research, including desktop research, competitive analysis, consumer interviews, and trend mapping.

  • Deliver structured insight reports to support the identification of unmet needs and guide early innovation thinking.

3. Innovation Project Support

  • Support the innovation team in the preparation and coordination of innovation projects, including documentation, meeting materials, project trackers, and alignment sessions.

  • Assist in preparing submissions for innovation governance forums.

4. Cross‑functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, R&D, design, packaging, supply chain, and other functions to ensure smooth information flow during project development

5. Knowledge & Documentation Management

  • Maintain databases of research reports, competitive intelligence, and innovation project documents.

  • Prepare presentation decks, internal reports, and communication materials for innovation‑related meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; majors in Marketing, Business, Economics, Consumer Research, or related fields preferred.

  • 3–5 years of experience in marketing, research, consumer insights, business analysis, or innovation support preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data into clear insights.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    Curiosity, an innovation mindset, and strong interest in consumer trends.

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other analytical tools.

  • Good command of both written and spoken Mandarin and English.
