$28.08 per hourAt CoreCivic, our employees are driven by a deep sense of service, high standards of professionalism and a responsibility to better the public good. We are currently seeking a Assistant Food Service Manager who has a passion for providing the highest quality care in an institutional, secure setting. Come join a team that is dedicated to making an impact for the people and communities we serve.The Assistant Food Service Manager performs high volume food preparation of average difficulty at a correctional facility and/or leads inmates/residents in food production activities.  Performs related duties as required.Supervise food service staff and inmates/residents in the performance of their duties.Assist in menu planning; confers with treatment staff on nutritional needs.Supervise preparation of meals in accordance menus and recipes cards approved by a registered dietitian.Inspect and taste prepared foods to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations.Direct the serving of meals in accordance schedules, portion control, and proper serving procedures.Qualifications:High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent. Two years experience in food service and prior supervisory experience preferred. Must meet all state and local government food handling requirements. Demonstrate a knowledge of all aspects of food service operation including cost control, food quality, safety and sanitation.A valid driver's license is required.
