The Assistant Chief Engineer supports the Director of Engineering / Chief Engineer in overseeing the day-to-day operation, maintenance, repair, and improvement of all engineering systems and facilities. This role ensures the property operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with statutory and brand standards while delivering excellent guest and colleague experiences.

The hotel will feature an all-day dining restaurant and a rooftop pool & bar, as well as 855 square metres of meeting space, perfect for conferences or social functions.

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering, Facilities Management or related field
  • Minimum 5–8 years engineering experience in hotel, resort or large commercial property
  • 2–3 years supervisory experience leading engineering/maintenance teams preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire & life safety and building systems
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and energy management
  • Ability to read technical drawings and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Good leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work under pressure and handle emergency situations
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Chargeman, safety or fire training) are an advantage
