Assembly Technician (m/f/d) – Cable Car Ropes
The suspension cable of the Linz Westring Bridge, the climbing rope for scaling the north face of the Eiger, the plastic strapping that holds packages securely together. We are looking for you to join our Austria assembly team for the Division Wire Rope. You should be based in Vorarlberg, Tyrol, Salzburg, or Ennstal (Styria), close to where our assembly work is carried out. JOB.TITLE (Full-time) Your responsibilities Installation and maintenance of cable car cables: Together with our dedicated cable car team (approx. 15 people), you will ensure that our cables are installed perfectly – from splicing, shortening, and grouting to tensioning, cable pulling, and repairs. On-site team leadership: You will coordinate the local team of assistants and ensure that all work runs smoothly. Safety and quality: Safety and the highest quality are our top priorities. You will carry out continuous quality controls and safety checks to guarantee the flawless installation of our cables. Working in the mountains: This job keeps you physically fit and rewards you with breathtaking nature. After about five days (the average time it takes to install a cable car cable), you and the team will have successfully set a cable car in motion with our Teufelberger cable. How to convince us Completed vocational training (e.g., as a machine or industrial mechanic, plant fitter, mechatronics engineer, cable car technician, or agricultural machinery technician) Several years of relevant professional experience and/or experience in rope assembly are an advantage. Robust personality with a head for heights, manual dexterity, and a solution-oriented mindset. High sense of responsibility, precision, and strong team and leadership skills. Mobility availability: Willingness to work throughout Austria and occasionally abroad; Class B driver's license required. Flexibility: Willingness to work at varying locations (worldwide) as well as on weekends, holidays, and overtime.
