EA Create is a collective of content production teams partnering with EA Studios game teams to provide outstanding visuals, audio and technology. Our teams consist of artists, engineers, technicians, designers and development directors. The Role
Join EA's Create Audio team as an Audio Artist and become an important player in creating award-winning soundscapes for groundbreaking projects. This temporary, full-time role offers collaboration with audio professionals and core game teams, renowned for titles like Star Wars Squadrons and the Dead Space remake. Dive into the sound design for a Marvel Iron Man game, blending detailed, grounded sounds with imaginative sci-fi elements. Bring your experience with video games, technical expertise, and creative flair to our inclusive culture.
Reporting to the project's Audio Director, you'll work in a hybrid environment, at our Montreal or Vancouver location, combining remote flexibility with in-office collaboration. Responsibilities
Design assets that enhance the game experience.
Use audio tools and game engines to edit and implement audio assets.
Partner with Design, Animation, VFX, and Audio Directors to ensure that audio aligns with the game vision.
Submit final audio files by the planned deadlines.
Provide crafted audio for scripted events to support the narrative experience.
Troubleshoot Bugs: Resolve audio-related issues within the game.
Communicate with team members and external partners.
Guide the audio content creation and implementation for your missions or other features.
Community Engagement: Contribute to the audio community across EA Studios by encouraging collaboration and sharing expertise.
Requirements
4+ years of experience
Artistic, creative, and technical sensibilities
Proficiency in game audio authoring tools and pipelines (e.g., Wwise)
Experience with game engines (e.g., Unreal)
Expertise in at least one major DAW (e.g., ProTools, Reaper)
Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Perforce)
Comfortable with modern audio equipment and recording techniques
Additional technical skills with Reaper Workflows, Python scripting, and Unreal workflows
