Apprenticeships, traineeships and cadetships

Our apprenticeships, traineeships and cadetships are managed by sites and are opportunities that are dependent on several factors. These roles are advertised locally and focus on recruiting locals. For more information, speak to your local site and check out opportunities via their Facebook pages.

Apprenticeships

Our Apprenticeship Program is designed to build a highly skilled and capable workforce by offering hands-on training and real-world experience across a range of trade and operational roles at our sites.

Apprentices undertake a formal training pathway that blends practical, on-the-job learning with classroom-based instruction, typically through TAFE or a registered training organisation. Our Program supports the development of expertise in trades such as electrical, mechanical, and other technical disciplines.

Working alongside experienced professionals, apprentices gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to excel in their chosen field and contribute meaningfully to our operations, while forging a valuable future career.

Traineeships

Our Traineeship Program participants follow a structured development plan that combines practical, on-the-job experience with formal training delivered by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or TAFE. Trainees typically enter the Program after completing secondary education or as part of a career transition into the mining industry.

Under the guidance of experienced professionals, trainees build targeted skills and knowledge in their chosen field. These roles span a variety of areas including operational positions, administrative support, and technical disciplines, laying the foundation for a successful career in mining.

Cadetships

Our Cadetship Program is designed to build a strong pipeline of skilled professionals from local communities to support critical roles across the business. While completing their university, TAFE, or college studies, cadets gain valuable hands-on experience, structured training, and mentorship that prepares them for long-term careers in the mining industry.

Cadets are students or trainees who actively combine academic learning with practical, real-world experience in their chosen field. Through involvement in meaningful projects and tasks aligned with their studies, cadets develop a well-rounded understanding of the industry and are equipped to take on future roles at Evolution.
