The Product Development Department Within Product Development, we are responsible for the development and continuous improvement of PCLT tyres for the EU and US markets. We work in cross-functional and international teams to deliver high-quality, innovative products that meet OEM, customer, and regulatory requirements while ensuring timely market introduction. The position As a Tyre Engineer (Product Development), you are responsible for executing product development projects and contributing to cross-functional technical project teams (CFTs). Depending on your experience, you act as a technical project member or a technical project lead. You ensure the timely and technical delivery of tyre development projects in line with internal design rules, OEM standards and company processes. You play a key role in translating customer requirements into robust tyre specifications and delivering validated products to production within agreed timing and budget. Your main responsibilities Lead assigned development projects, ensuring objectives and timelines are met Define and agree development plans with your direct manager Align technically with Marketing and Technical Account Managers Coordinate cross-functional project teams (EU, India, US) Design and validate tyre layouts and technical specifications based on customer requirements Translate customer requirements into technical specifications Create, track, analyze, and validate and create technical reports for prototype and test requests Analyse and validate test results and prepare technical reports Approve and release final specifications for production Apply development and product change processes (IATF, APDP) Perform risk analysis and manage product design changes Your profile Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or similar Strong English communication skills Understanding of product development processes (IATF, APDP, QFD, FMEA) Strong tyre engineering knowledge (production process, structural mechanics, vehicle dynamics, FEA, standards regulations) Project management and problem-solving skills For senior level: 7+ years of experience in tyre engineering with proven experience leading development projects and mentoring junior engineers Competencies Strong cross-functional collaboration skills Ability to work effectively in multicultural and international teams Planning and organising skills Result-oriented mindset Structured and analytical way of working Hands-on mentality Strong presentation and communication skills Stress resilience and attention to detail What we offer?
