Who we are Apollo Tyres is a tire manufacturer of Indian origin. Apollo is an ambitious and growing company with factories in India and Europe, as well as sales offices around the world. About 160 employees work at Global R D in Enschede to develop new (car) tires for Apollo and Vredestein. The Testing department is responsible for the testing of prototype tyres. This is done both indoor on test machines and outdoor on test tracks. The testing department operates internationally with activities throughout and outside Europe and has its base in the European R D Centre in Enschede. Objective or the assignment Wet grip is a critical performance parameter for vehicle safety, directly influencing braking distance, cornering stability, and overall tyre-road interaction under wet conditions. Wet grip performance depends on a complex interaction between tyre properties, road surface characteristics, water film dynamics, and environmental conditions. Your tasks This internship project focuses on: Identifying key influence factors for wet grip Analyzing the role of asphalt surface properties Evaluating the reliability and repeatability of laser scanning measurements used to characterize road texture Your profile Enrolled Bachelor or Master Preference for Automotive/Business Administration Strong communication skills in English, any other language is a plus Hands-on mentality What do we offer A dynamic and innovative internship/graduation environment Colleagues from all over the world Own working space within the office building Possibilities to visit different test tracks Internship allowance ranging from EUR 600 to 850 per month, based on a full-time position.
