Extrusion Technician

Responsibilities:

  • Work on the Extruder Line 

    • Operates and monitors the operation of extruder equipment. 

    • Prepares and sets up the production line (temperature, pressure, speed, strip thickness, etc.). 

    • Monitors the process and intervenes in case of deviations. 

    • Assembles, tests, and adjusts components required for line operation. 

  • Incoming Inspection of Raw Materials 

    • Performs incoming inspection of granules, masterbatch, and other components. 

    • Checks visual quality, labels, and compliance with specifications. 

    • Reports irregularities and participates in resolving nonconformities. 

  • Cleaning and Basic Maintenance 

    • Performs regular and preventive cleaning of machines, molds, heads, and auxiliary equipment. 

    • Conducts basic maintenance, visual inspections, and replacement of consumable parts. 

    • Prepares equipment for planned and unplanned maintenance interventions. 

  • Product Quality Control 

    • Performs visual and instrumental quality control of the finished product. 

    • Monitors dimensions, tolerances, surface, thickness, and material homogeneity. 

    • Documents measurements and reports deviations to the QA team. 

  • Scrap Analysis, Rework, and Repair 

    • Participates in scrap root cause analysis and proposes corrective actions. 

    • Performs rework and repair of material when technically feasible. 

    • Assists in reducing scrap and improving process stability. 

  • Process and Development Support 

    • Participates in process optimization and production stabilization. 

    • Cooperates with engineering and R&D teams when introducing new products and materials. 

    • Proposes technical improvements to the process. 

  • Documentation and Records 

    • Maintains accurate records of the process, parameters, and material consumption. 

    • Updates work instructions and SOPs as needed. 

  • Safety and Occupational Protection 

    • Strictly follows all safety measures and uses the required personal protective equipment. 

    • Adheres to LOTO procedures during machine operation and maintenance. 

    • Actively identifies risks and reports potential hazards. 

    • Participates in regular safety and fire protection training. 

    • Ensures a clean, organized, and safe working environment. 

  • Additional Activities 

    • Works on the Vipak production line when required by operational needs. 

    • Participates in training new employees. 

    • Performs other tasks as assigned by the supervisor. 

    • May operate a passenger vehicle if eligible. 

    • Forklift operation 

 

Requirements:

  • Level I vocational qualification or Level II technical retraining 

  • 2 years of work experience in similar positions 

  • Good eyesight and color recognition 

  • Manual dexterity 

  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, diagrams, and manuals.
