Key Responsibilities of the Direct procurement specialist include:

  • Responsible for the procurement of electronic and mechanical components for our production processes.
  • Evaluation of supplier offers with regard to prices, quality, and delivery times, as well as optimizing the existing supplier network.
  • Preparation of inquiries, negotiation of contracts, and establishment of purchasing conditions.
  • Close coordination with internal departments such as production, development, and quality control to coordinate material requirements.
  • Actively identify cost reduction and efficiency optimization potentials in supply chain management.
  • Establish and maintain long-term supplier relationships.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Solution-oriented handling of supply shortages and deviations in the procurement process.

 

Position Requirements:

Must have:

  • Several years of demonstrable professional experience in the operational and strategic procurement of electronic / electromechanical and mechanical components
  • Background in commerce and technical (electronic and/or mechanical) or a comparable business education
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to successfully conclude procurement contracts.
  • Experience in supply chain management and optimizing procurement processes
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
  • Team player, flexibility and resilience
  • Strong communication skills in English

Nice to have:

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with group structures and the corresponding reporting
  • Excellent decision-making mindset
  • Experience in using ERP systems, primarily MS Navision
  • Strong MS Office skills and especially Excel.
  • German language skills
