Customs Engineering Intern
We are looking for an Engineering Intern to work in our Custom Engineering Department for the Summer of 2026.
AMETEK Process Instruments is looking for a college or university student to work within our Customs Engineering teams.
We are a company that sells analytical products to the process control and automation market.
No prior experience is required, but the ideal candidate should be highly energetic and have a self-starting work ethic to drive individual and group project work.
Job Requirements:
- Currently attending an accredited 4-year college or university, pursuing a major in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Mechanical or Electrical), Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Strong knowledge of engineering and manufacturing principles, particularly electro-mechanical design, design for manufacturing, and project management.
- Self-starter, able to work independently, and entrepreneurial; enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- High energy, maturity, and leadership with the ability to serve as a unifying force and to position communications discussions at both the strategic and tactical levels.
- Can effectively function in a team environment.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations a plus.
- Strong skills in MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and related software
- Experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, or similar 2D and 3D CAD software.
Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities may include:
- Leading the design of analyzer and integration projects to meet unique customer needs and supporting these design projects from order placement through production to shipment.
- You should have a strong knowledge of engineering principles, be proficient in CAD software, and have excellent problem-solving skills.
