How you create impact

The Aerospace Air Logistics Operational Team Leader oversees customer excellence by leading the Aerospace Operational Care team, ensuring high-quality service, and driving customer-centric operational execution. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with processes and regulations, optimizing efficiency, and fostering team development. As a subject matter expert, the manager aligns aerospace-specific requirements with operational activities and supports business development through solutions-driven strategies and stakeholder collaboration

What we would like you to bring

Proven ability to lead and guide operational teams, driving performance and accountability within a fast-paced aerospace logistics environment.
Strong expertise in airfreight operations and shipment management, with a focus on delivering high-quality, time-critical outcomes (e.g. AOG, engines).
A mindset for operational excellence, with the ability to optimize processes, systems, and productivity.
Commercial awareness with the ability to support cost optimization, pricing strategies, and profitability goals.
Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement and solution-driven initiatives, with a focus on lean and efficient operations.
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders (Customer Care, RCC, Gateway, Warehouse, Customs, Optimization teams) and external partners/suppliers.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards, ensuring full compliance in all operations.
Experience in customer onboarding and implementation, with a customer-centric approach to service delivery.
Confidence in handling escalations and complex operational challenges, providing timely and effective resolutions.
Capability to analyze performance metrics and drive improvements in data quality and execution standards.
Willingness to coach and train team members, particularly on Aerospace & Defence vertical requirements.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with national, regional, and global teams.
Exposure to procurement and carrier/partner management, supporting vendor relationships and operational outcomes.
Ability to work closely with Customer Service and Key Account teams to understand customer needs and enhance service delivery.
A proactive approach to supporting business growth, including RFQs, spot quotations, and new customer development.
