Agriculture Mobile Plant Operators
About the role
- Preparing machinery for operations.
- Operating farm machinery, including spraying (self-propelled and camera spraying), spreading and paddock preparation activities.
- Observing and monitoring crop health and progress; communicating this to the Farm Manager and agronomic advisor.
- Maintenance of farm machinery and vehicles.
- Taking reasonable care for your own health and safety and for the health and safety of others.
- Identifying and reporting any health and safety hazards, incidents or near misses.
- Contributing to a positive team culture in line with the company's values.
- Other general farm duties as required.
Qualifications
Ideally, we are looking for operators with experience in:
- Large-scale cropping plant and equipment, at least 1 year.
- A willingness to learn, adopt new practices and further develop personal skills, whilst working in a team environment.
- The ability to demonstrate a high level of initiative and self-motivation.
- Good communication skills.
- Relevant certificates in farming operations and/or necessary experience.
- Current chemical users’ certificate, driver and truck licences preferred but not necessary.
