Aerial Fiber Groundman - Newport, TN
Job Summary:
• The Aerial Fiber Groundman will work with ADSS fiber.
• Applicants should be familiar with telecommunications lines, bucket trucks, poles, and their functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Complete aerial fiber optic construction using ADSS fiber.
• Use tools, equipment, and ladders to complete projects.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Complete daily cup sheets documenting work performed.
• Clean and maintain all supplies and equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to work well with others.
• Proficient with lineman tools and equipment.
• Ability to read construction prints.
• Proficient in telecom construction equipment (e.g., Aerial Lifts, Dozers, Lashers, Meters, Plows).
• Able to climb poles safely.
• Ability to work safely, supervised or unsupervised.
• Capability to work standing, at shoulder height and overhead, for extended periods.
• Excellent manual dexterity.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Understand and operate aerial lift devices, lashers, and hand tools.
Education & Experience:
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle record check.
