Role overview 

The Lead Advisor, Change and Culture Communications supports enterprisewide transformation by developing internal communications that help leaders and employees understand, align to, and act on change. 

This role focuses on driving adoption and behavior change through clear, compelling, and inspiring communications, particularly in the context of organizational design changes, enterprise AI enablement, innovation, culture change, and mergers and acquisitions. This role is responsible for translating complex business strategy into communications that inspire and move the organization forward. 

 

Key responsibilities 

  • Develop and execute internal communications to support enterprise change initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, organizational design changes, culture and people changes, and operating model evolution. 

  • Translate complex enterprise strategies, including AIenabled transformation and innovation initiatives, into clear and actionable communications for leaders and employees. 

  • Support enterprisewide culture change efforts, reinforcing desired behaviors, ways of working, and decision discipline. 

  • Partner with enterprise initiative teams, change management experts, HR, and senior leaders to support adoption and alignment during change. 

  • Partner with the leader enablement communications team to contribute to leader enablement efforts, including leader talking points, toolkits, FAQs, and cascade materials. 

  • Apply structured change communications approaches to support transitions related to M&A integration and enterprise transformation. 

  • Collaborate across Internal Communications teams and Corporate Affairs partners to ensure consistency and disciplined execution. 

  • Use established communications workflows and PMO practices to manage deliverables, risks, and stakeholder alignment. 

 

Required qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Affairs, Journalism, Business, Organizational Development, or related field. 

  • 7–10 years of experience in internal communications, change communications, or enterprise communications. 

  • Experience supporting enterpriselevel or multibusiness change initiatives at multinational companies. 

  • Strong ability to distill complexity into clear, motivating internal communications. 

  • Proven writing, editorial judgment, and stakeholder partnership skills. 

  • Experience working within governancedriven, matrixed enterprise environments. 

 

Preferred qualifications 

  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions or postintegration change. 

  • Exposure to organizational design or operating model change. 

  • Experience supporting digital, AI, or innovationrelated initiatives. 

  • Familiarity with enterprise change management frameworks. 

  • Experience working in energy, oil, and gas industry.

  • Autonomy: Moderate; executes with guidance from senior advisors and managers 

  • Influence: Through quality of execution and trusted delivery 

 

Relocation Options:   

Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.
