Overview:

If you’re passionate about pediatrics and want to make a real difference in a close‑knit community, this could be the role you’ve been looking for. Sentara Halifax Pediatrics is seeking a full‑time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to care for pediatric patients in South Boston, VA. You’ll practice in a fast‑paced, outpatient setting alongside dedicated physicians and staff who value teamwork, positivity, and delivering exceptional care to every child and family we serve.

Position Highlights:

  • Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

  • 40 hours a week (36 patient contact hours and 4 hours of admin time)

  • Collaborative practice with 2 physicians, 1 nurse practitioner, and 7 support staff

  • Average 15 - 18 patients per day

  • Patient population from newborn to 21 years of age

  • No call, no weekends – office is closed Saturday and Sunday

  • Active NP or PA

  • Minimum master’s degree required

  • Experience APP preferred but open to exceptional new grads with pediatric experience
