As an Actuarial Advisor, you will play a key role in analyzing, advising, and supporting internal partners on complex financial matters to support decision-making and the improvement of business practices.

 

You will be part of the Corporate Actuarial Services team, whose mandate is to support corporate value chains, including pricing, financial projections, capital management and valuation, financial reporting, and risk management.

What you’ll accomplish with us

As an Actuarial Advisor, you will be at the core of our mission. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in multi-sector and multidisciplinary workshops and meetings to gain a strong understanding of partners’ realities and needs, while proposing initiatives to support the organization’s strategy

  • Analyzing, consolidating, and interpreting financial and periodic reporting results, while ensuring the quality and reliability of outcomes

  • Ensuring the robustness of financial models and underlying assumptions

  • Identifying opportunities and formulating concrete recommendations

  • Contributing to the optimization of financial and capital projection processes

  • Contributing to regulatory monitoring and financial impact analyses

  • Acting as a key partner to the Chief Financial Officer and senior management to support analysis, decision-making, and corporate finance communications

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is recognized for strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex financial problems

  • Stands out for strategic thinking, a solid understanding of corporate issues, and the ability to translate complex financial analyses into clear insights

  • Demonstrates a high level of autonomy, exemplary rigor, and a strong sense of priorities

  • Is recognized for very strong Excel proficiency, supported by a relevant university degree (actuarial science, finance, or accounting) and a recognized actuarial professional designation (FICA or FSA), or in the process of obtaining it

  • Has between 5 and 8 years of relevant experience
