Action Camera Essential Feature System Engineer, up to Staff
Design novel image processing algorithms that improves image quality and video quality. Code optimization for GPU, DSP with heterogenous programming. Concept proof and rapid protype for novel camera technologies. Support end to end camera feature commercialization. Leverages advanced Systems knowledge and experience to research, design, develop, simulate, and/or validate systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions while ensuring system-level requirements and standards are met. Performs complex functional analysis to drive requirements and specifications and to define and align with standards for hardware and software. Develops and analyzes complex system level design including requirements, interface definition, functional/performance definition, and implementation of a new system or modification of an existing system. Collaborates with cross-functional teams (e.g., product management teams, engineering teams, etc.) to complete project work, including implementing and verifying the system. Develops algorithms and works on new and innovative ideas (e.g. IDFs) for a product or feature area. Drives triage of complex problems at the system level to determine root cause and presents results of testing and debugging to internal and external stakeholders. Works independently with minimal supervision. Master's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. 3+ years Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Hardware Engineering, or related work experience. Signal/image processing and IQ tuning experience Camera and image processing technologies Android HAL system design Multi-camera system design including at least one of following subjects or similar: SAT, image zoom, temporal synchronization, image fusion, depth estimation, dual-camera calibration. Customer support/ camera tuning experience C, C++, Matlab, Python Fluent in C/C++ programming, embedded system software development on ARM CPU. Understanding of camera imaging sensor, camera module and image processing pipelines. Experience in camera system design for smartphone camera. Strong communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in computer vision algorithm design development. Experience in programming ARM NEON, OpenCL, CUDA. 10~20% domestic or oversea travel is required for onsite support. Masters or Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering and/or related field Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field. 8+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. 4+ years of 4G/5G/6G systems and associated cellular standards (e.g., 3GPP NR, LTE, LTE, 3G). 3+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization. 1+ year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Sr. Staff level and above).
