Description
Being a member of the Beats Audio Voice team presents a unique opportunity within Apple. We are small, adaptable, and driven group, responsible for the end-to-end voice performance of future audio products. We are at home working with novel architectures on tight schedules, fueling innovative ideas that span ecosystems. We interact with cross-functional teams on a regular basis, and continually strive to elevate Apple's audio roadmap. As part of the team you will contribute, develop, and create in a space where your critical ear, technical expertise, and passion for sound are key to the success of our products.
Minimum Qualifications
Solid C proficiency, including porting algorithms to production-quality code
3+ years experience in telephony or communications audio (e.g., speech enhancement, acoustic echo cancellation, noise suppression)
Ability to identify and characterize audio artifacts across diverse signal conditions
Proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB for algorithm development and analysis
Experience constructing and debugging multi-platform data pipelines
Excellent teamwork and communication practices
Familiarity with ML data pipelines from training through performance qualification
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on practice working with development hardware and early-stage prototype systems
Experience with subjective listening evaluation methodologies
Experience deploying ML solutions on resource-constrained devices
Comfortable defining and manipulating large datasets for batch processing
Working knowledge of fixed and floating point precision architectures and their implications for audio systems
B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Audio Engineering, Music Technology, or equivalent experience
