Accounting Project Senior Advisor - Hybrid
The Accounting Project Senior Advisor serves as a strategic partner responsible for driving high-impact initiatives across US Cigna Healthcare. The role partners closely with cross-functional teams to advance enterprise priorities, deliver meaningful business and project outcomes, and provide visibility across Accounting, Finance, and IT. This position is centered on project management while seeking opportunities to transform processes.
Core Responsibilities
Lead end‑to‑end project management—including design, development, and implementation—of critical accounting and finance initiatives.
Integrate accounting processes, controls, and system reporting requirements into business initiatives to maintain compliance and operational excellence.
Champion effective change management practices to ensure smooth adoption and long‑term sustainability of process and system enhancements.
Build strong relationships through effective communication with matrix partners across and beyond Accounting and Finance.
Identify opportunities to streamline Accounting processes and support adoption of best practices.
Apply strong Accounting, Finance, and project management knowledge to guide initiatives with strategic insight and operational rigor.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field
8+ years of accounting or finance experience, experience partnering with these teams is strongly preferred
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Strong project management skills
Innovative strategic thinker
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Self‑starter with an enterprise mindset, eager to learn, contribute, and drive impact
