Scope & Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Compliance

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP or IFRS.

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

  • Manage annual audits and coordinate with external auditors.

Accounting Operations

  • Maintain a robust system of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

  • Oversee operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records.

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing financial forecasting.

  • Monitor and analyze budget variances and report significant issues to management.

  • Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives and business planning.

Cash Management

  • Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow and working capital.

  • Oversee cash management and treasury functions, including banking relationships and investments.

Strategic Financial Planning

  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies and business plans.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial performance.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

  • Ensure the accounting team is aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.

Special Projects

  • Lead special projects and initiatives, such as system implementations and process redesigns.

  • Provide financial expertise and support for mergers, acquisitions, and other business development activities.
