Accounting Analyst - Financial Reporting

The Financial Reporting Analyst is primarily responsible for assisting the team with timely and accurate financial reporting to external parties; the monthly close processes for several management companies; process enhancement for a range of various accounting and reporting matters; coordination & preparation of the global financial reporting function; and ad hoc tasks or projects.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Assist with and own the month-end closing process for several management company entities.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial analytics for the management companies and Funds.
  • Assist with the coordination of the interim and annual audits, including responding to information requests from external auditors and identifying opportunities to streamline audit processes and requests.
  • Assist in the preparation of the financial statements and footnotes for the master fund and the management companies.
  • Assist with the coordination of the global financial reporting function engaging with teams in EMEA & APAC
  • Develop & enhance global processes and procedures
  • Flexible approach to meet the changing needs of the team.
  • Identify and make suggestions for efficiencies and improvements when performing work.
  • Assist with various regulatory filings to support the wider financial reporting group
  • Assist with various ad hoc projects and analysis to support the Finance group.

Qualifications/Skills Required

  • Minimum 3 years in a Financial Reporting or Accounting Role, (e.g. preferably public accounting background and/or private accounting background)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to analyze and organize large amounts of data in an efficient manner
  • Solid analytical skills and judgment – strong attention to detail
  • Strives to drive continuous improvement
  • Strong technical proficiency with web applications and MS Office (strong Excel skills)
  • Ability to multi-task as well as meet short deadlines in a demanding environment
  • Detail oriented; demonstrates thoroughness and strong ownership of work
  • Proactive individual with strong interpersonal and client service skills
  • Demonstrates thoroughness and strong ownership of work
  • Ability to be flexible and able to work as part of a team to meet project deadlines
  • CPA is a plus

The estimated base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $160,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. Millennium pays a total compensation package that includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
