The Opportunity We’re looking for a Staff Accountant to join Belong and become a key member of our Finance team during a period of rapid growth and scale. You will help build the financial foundation that allows the company to grow with clarity and confidence. You’ll work closely with the Controller and Finance leadership to ensure accuracy, accountability, and operational excellence. How You’ll Make an Impact Create Financial Clarity Maintain clean, accurate financial records that enable leadership to make confident decisions. Support Smart Growth Monitor financial performance and help ensure discipline as the business scales. Strengthen Our Foundation From audits to reporting, you’ll help ensure our financial operations are reliable, compliant, and future-ready. Improve the System You’ll contribute to process improvements and automation that strengthen how the Finance team operates. What You’ll Do Accounting & Close Prepare journal entries Perform monthly balance-sheet reconciliations Assist with monthly close and financial statements Reporting & Accuracy Ensure timeliness and accuracy of records Support financial reporting for internal stakeholders Audits Coordinate with external auditors and support audit execution Budgeting & Analysis Track performance against budgets Identify trends, discrepancies, and risks Support financial planning discussions Collaboration Work cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and other teams Build strong working relationships across departments Operations & Improvement Support automation and process optimization initiatives Contribute to a high-trust, high-accountability finance culture Who You Are Detail-Driven You care deeply about precision. Experience & Qualifications 1+ years of accounting experience (startup or tech is a plus) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills Experience with accounting or finance systems Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment Why Belong At Belong, culture isn’t a benefit, it's the foundation.
