Take part in managing accounts receivable and accounts payable, supporting payroll review, and ensuring accurate financial operations aligned with US standards. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with accounting experience who wants to strengthen their expertise in financial operations within a fast-paced, international work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
- Maintain and oversee the company’s general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of revenues, expenses, and cost allocations.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
- Review and approve accounting transactions performed by the Accounting Associate.
- Ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and compliant with accounting standards.
- Perform and review bank reconciliations and key account reconciliations.
- Record and oversee accounting adjustments including accruals, depreciation, and amortization.
Accounts Receivable & Billing Oversight
- Oversee billing processes including hourly, project-based, and full-time client invoicing.
- Review and approve client invoices, internal billing, and credit memos.
- Monitor accounts receivable balances and coordinate collection efforts.
- Identify overdue accounts and escalate issues when necessary.
- Ensure proper revenue recognition and reconciliation between operational systems and accounting records.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly financial statements including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and Cash Flow.
- Provide financial data and analytical support for operational and strategic reporting.
- Support leadership with financial analysis including month-over-month performance and variance analysis.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of financial dashboards and reporting tools.
Payroll Administration
- Review and validate contractors hours for payroll processing, prepare payroll amounts for approval, and coordinate payroll execution through the payroll platform.
- Ensure accurate recording of payroll expenses, payroll service fees, and related costs in QuickBooks in accordance with accounting procedures
Process Optimization & Documentation
- Document accounting processes, workflows, and internal procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reduce manual workload.
- Support the implementation of tools and systems that improve efficiency and reporting capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data flow across departments.
Team Support & Coordination
- Supervise and guide the Accounting Associate in day-to-day accounting activities.
- Provide training, feedback, and support to ensure accuracy and efficiency in transactional processes.
- Coordinate with leadership, operations, and administrative teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- +5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or financial operations.
- Experience managing accounting processes such as month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Advanced English Proficiency: C1/C2 level for seamless communication
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect financial & accounting insights to strategic outcomes.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience in fast-paced environments with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) is a plus.
