Water Quality (‘WQ”) Platform is part of the Environmental & Applied Solutions reporting segment and is a global leader in water quality analysis and treatment, providing instrumentation and disinfection systems to help analyze and manage the quality of ultra-pure water, portable water, wastewater, groundwater and ocean water in residential, commercial, industrial, and natural resource applications. Our water quality business provides products under a variety of brands, including Hach, Trojan Technologies, McCrometer and ChemTreat. WQ Asia has sales offices in India, Australia, New Zeland, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Philippines.
Hach-TH Water Quality Platform, a part of the Hach Company, is a leader in manufacturing and distributing analytical instruments and reagents used to test water quality and other liquid solutions. In response to the rapidly expanding reagent in water test business in Thailand, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Water Quality Thailand Group as Accountant.
POSITION SUMMARY
The accountant is responsible for performing day‑to‑day accounting and financial operations to ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, and effective cash management. The role covers general accounting activities, accounts receivable, and treasury support, working closely with internal teams, customers, and banks. The accountant is expected to maintain strong attention to detail, comply with accounting policies, and support smooth month‑end and operational processes.
Roles & Responsibilities include:
1. General Accounting
· Record and maintain accurate accounting entries in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
· Prepare and post journal entries related to revenue, cash, and other assigned accounts.
· Perform general ledger reconciliations, including bank and AR‑related balances.
· Support month‑end closing activities and internal/external audit requirements.
· Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
2. Accounts Receivable (AR)
· Prepare and issue customer billing documents, including invoices, credit notes, and receipts.
· Monitor customer payments and follow up on outstanding balances to ensure timely collection in line with agreed credit terms.
· Prepare AR ageing reports and provide analysis on overdue items for review.
· Coordinate with internal stakeholders and customers to resolve billing and payment issues.
3. Treasury & Cash Management
· Post cash collection entries from customers and cash disbursement entries to vendors/suppliers in the system.
· Coordinate with banks on cash collections, payments, and other routine banking matters.
· Prepare and maintain bank reconciliations and support cash flow monitoring.
· Support preparation of cash flow statements and treasury‑related reporting as required.
4. Other Responsibilities
· Support AR, cash management, and bank‑related audits on an as‑needed basis.
· Identify recurring drivers of disputes/delays and implement process improvements; contribute to Kaizen/workshops and standard work updates to reduce rework
· Assist with ad‑hoc accounting and finance tasks assigned by management.
· Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams to support finance operations.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting and finance functions.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes.
Hands‑on experience with accounting systems and spreadsheets.
Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
Good organizational ability with strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
Capable of working independently and proactively.
Able to work under pressure with a high sense of responsibility.
Good English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
