To support the next stage of Ideals VDR growth in Switzerland, we are looking for our first Account Executive (BDM) based in Zurich.

This is a 100% new business, full-cycle field sales role for someone who enjoys building pipeline from scratch, winning new logos, and closing deals in person. You will own the full sales process end to end - from outbound prospecting and market development to commercial conversations, negotiations, and signed contracts.

You will be one of the first client-facing growth hires focused on Switzerland locally, which means this role comes with a high level of autonomy, ownership, and visible impact. It is well suited to someone who is energized by growth, enjoys working in a fast-moving environment, and wants to help build Ideals’ presence in one of the most attractive financial markets in Europe.

As a front-line, quota-carrying seller, you will proactively create opportunities with decision-makers across financial institutions, advisory environments, and other strategic Swiss accounts. You will work closely with the wider DACH team, supported by a mature enablement platform, strong marketing partnership, and a product trusted in high-stakes business situations.

What you will do

  • Own the full sales cycle in Switzerland, from self-generated pipeline to closed deals

  • Drive 100% new business acquisition with a strong focus on outbound prospecting

  • Build relationships with decision-makers across financial institutions, advisory firms, and other strategic Swiss accounts

  • Create and develop new opportunities through cold outreach, networking, events, and in-person meetings

  • Represent Ideals in the market and strengthen our local visibility in Switzerland

  • Run high-quality discovery, product presentations, and commercial conversations with prospective clients

  • Structure, negotiate, and close new business deals

  • Contribute actively to the execution of the Swiss go-to-market strategy

  • Partner closely with Marketing, Inside Sales, and Customer Success to support growth in the market

  • Share market insights and customer feedback with internal stakeholders

What you bring

  • 1–5 years of success in new business sales, business development, or direct commercial roles in B2B environments

  • Clear evidence of hunter mentality and comfort with building pipeline from scratch

  • Track record of carrying quota and closing new business

  • Experience in fast-paced, high-activity sales environments

  • Confidence engaging decision-makers and leading commercial conversations

  • Motivation for a field sales role and genuine enjoyment of face-to-face selling

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust quickly and adapt to different stakeholders

  • A persuasive and commercially sharp style, without relying on overly scripted or one-way communication

  • German C1+

  • English C1

  • Based in Zurich or within realistic commuting distance

Nice to have

  • Background in SaaS, fintech, financial services, information security, or other high-trust B2B industries

  • Exposure to selling into financial or advisory environments

  • Additional European language
