Account Director, Brand

Zeno Group Canada is seeking an Account Director to join our Brand team. The ideal candidate is a strong account leader with an unwavering commitment to exceptional client service. You are an earned media strategist who can design and deliver insight-driven campaigns that generate meaningful coverage. A skilled writer and editor, you bring polish to media materials, presentations, award submissions, and social content.

With integrated experience across inter-agency teams, you think holistically and present with confidence to senior stakeholders. You lead with curiosity, creativity, and kindness, inspiring collaboration and supporting team growth. As a mentor, you help junior staff thrive while fostering a positive and high-performing environment. Experience working with creators is a valued asset.

This is a hybrid role working from our Toronto office.

About the Role:

  • Effective client strategist who has day-to-day responsibility over a portfolio of clients, including strategy, planning, management of delivery, execution, reporting and budgeting

  • Lead integrated programs from start to finish, spearhead innovative earned media strategies alongside teams while integrating cross-specialties as needed (creator marketing, paid media, etc.)

  • Develop relationships with clients and across the Zeno network, understanding key client information including general business strategy, industry issues, products and services offered, key customers and competitors in the marketplace and help educate your junior team on such

  • Provide strategic, trusted counsel to clients, while leading and mentoring your team(s)

  • Drive business development with a keen eye for identifying organic growth opportunities

  • Mentor and develop junior talent by providing feedback, managing and reviewing work, and supporting the review process

  • Regularly review client KPIs to ensure accounts deliver goals on time and on budget

  • Contribute to the overall positive culture in the office

  • Manage teams to maximize performance and productivity

  • Financial management of accounts, including supporting service levels by scoping and resourcing work appropriately; ensure forecasts are accurate and aligned; ensure client/program budgets are on-track

  • Help lead the ideation, development and presentation for new business pitches

About You:

  • 7+ years of brand PR experience, ideally with agency experience

  • Excellent writing, editing, verbal communication skills

  • Strong presenter with experience developing and delivering insight-driven plans and client presentations

  • A history of success providing sound creative and strategic counsel to clients and building credibility with senior level client contacts

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, strong real-time problem-solving skills and the capacity to respond quickly as business factors shift

  • A collaborative spirit and team player who is results-driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work against deadlines

  • A passionate people advocate and developer of future talent

  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills; set and pursue stretch goals

  • Strong voice for PR in an IAT environment

This posting is for an existing vacancy. 

Pay Range: $90,000 to $100,000 CAD/yr.

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits. In accordance to Ontario's Employment Standards Act (ESA), salary posting ranges can not exceed a $50,000 CAD differential and are required for any role with a maximum salary below $200,000 CAD.

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
