Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for an A220 Propulsion Delivery Operations Team Lead to join our A220 department based in Mobile, AL.
The A220 Propulsion Delivery Operations Team Lead, Mobile manages A220 Propulsion System topics across the Airbus Production line in Mobile, from the arrival of engines until the delivery of aircraft to customers.
This position is located at the Airbus Mobile Manufacturing Site (Mobile, AL). The jobholder reports locally to the Head Of Procurement Operations US FALs in Mobile and functionally to the Head of A220 Propulsion based in Mirabel.
The A220 Propulsion Delivery Operations Team Lead, Mobile actively supports production & delivery operations continuity in accordance with Airbus POA requirements and is responsible to ensure that all the propulsion related items are closed for successful aircraft milestones, such as FAL Operational Test and Technical Acceptance Completion by the Propulsion Delivery Operations team in Mobile, AL.

Your Challenges:
Act as Team Lead for the A220 Propulsion Procurement team in FAL Mobile and follow-up Procurement Operations Propulsion deliverables (40%):
Leading operationally the team, in line with the Airbus leadership model.
Engaging, developing and motivating the team, within Airbus Values.
Animate locally the DQMs activities and secure balanced workload among the team as well as securing the right business continuity.
Supporting the operational forums attendance/escalation either internal (e.g. L3/L4 attendance) or through Engine Partners (monthly performance …).

Contributing to the different reporting / A220 consolidated view (e.g.: SQCDP..).
Strengthening the cooperation and associated expectations with / from HO A220 Propulsion in Mirabel.
Supporting locally the industrial changes made around Propulsion system (eg: PQUAD South implementation) & associated coordination expected after EIS.
Lead and manage the quality and conformity of the A220 “Podded Power Plant + Pylon” (here after designed as PQUAD) from delivery/induction into A220 Final Assembly Line in Mobile and be the Airbus primary representative in front of the airline customer for all PQUAD presentations and/or inspections (60%):
During the Aircraft delivery phase, being part of the Aircraft delivery team and acts as the focal point for PQUAD Quality topics in front of the Airline Customer, with the support of involved suppliers and other functions (e.g. delivery transaction managers, FCMs, MAP...).
Accountable for acting in compliance with the requirements as set forth in Airworthiness Chapter 561 - Approved Manufacturers - Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs).
Manage the Podded Power Plant and Pylon quality and conformity in compliance with A220 Quality Management System and Health/Safety standards, from induction into FAL-Mobile and until aircraft delivery to the Airline Customer.
Be aware in a timely manner of the buy-off status of the PQUAD (if applicable) when transfer of title to Airbus Canada occurs in Mirabel or in Mobile through PQUAD South.
Attend and support any PQUAD presentation to the Airline Customer Interface with the Quality function (at FAL and in Mirabel) to ensure an accurate NCR status.
Manage and present non-conformities requiring Airline Customer notification with support of functions and supplier as appropriate.
Manage snags raised by Airline Customer: the incumbent is accountable for snag closure within lead time and ensures snag buy back by A220 production organization.
Manage and drumbeat any PQUAD related non-conformance (RNC, snag).
Secure End to End Dynamic Containment & associated initiatives push either internally or on the supplier side.
Inspect reworked PQUAD sub-part or full PQUAD assemblies back to production to allow their re-introduction, present reallocation proposal to Airline Customer as needed. All work will be done in close relation with A220 Program, Quality, PQUAD Procurement, Supplier, and Delivery Transaction Managers.
Ensure and strive to improve customer satisfaction by addressing CSIP feedback.
Actively contribute to continuous improvement within the A220 organization and related processes.
Manage production escapes from upstream production cycle by coordinating right effective containment from suppliers.
Participate in daily/weekly meetings as required for production scheduling, quality, and conformity topics.
Address customer concerns during A/C delivery phase in close coordination with engine and nacelle suppliers and other functions within Airbus.
Support, within his/her perimeter, projects aiming at improving business efficiency and protection of Airbus interests (in line with A220 production cost reduction targets).
Support as required value stream and customer transformation projects aiming at adapting and incorporating new systems and quality management tools.
Support audits and Gemba Walks as required (internal and by Transport Canada Civil Aviation Authorities) vs On Site Support / Out-located work activities.
Your Boarding Pass:
Required Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
Preferred Master’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
Required:
10 years of relevant experience working in the Aerospace industry.
2+ years of leadership experience (e.g. project management, team lead, etc).
Demonstrably effective communication skills including fluency in written and spoken English.
Ability to function as an effective member of an international team including flexibility and initiative.
Proven skills as a problem-solver and a record of meeting deadlines and completing tasks on time, on budget and at an acceptable level of quality.
Good interpersonal skills, be able to negotiate and manage conflicts of interests.
Experience in establishing and cultivating relationships with internal and external customers.
Versatile person with proven ability to work in changing environments under time pressure.

Citizenship: Eligible for employment in the US.
Preferred:
Knowledge of airline operations, practical aviation experience, or flight operation experience is advantageous.
Travel required: Approximately 10-20% depending on departmental needs.
Physical Requirements:
Vision: Able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.
Hearing: Able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
Speaking: Able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): Able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
Carrying: Able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
Lifting: Able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
Pushing / Pulling: Able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
Sitting: Able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer.
Squatting / Kneeling: Able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
Standing: Able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.
