7159 Temporary Defensive Driving Instructor (EDCT)

Instructor will work under the supervision of the Program Coordinator and/or Program Director for leadership and direction, but must be able to run their classroom independently based on the training they receive from the NSC. Instructor has the right to make decisions regarding disruptive student behavior. Instructor must commit to the values and mission of Greenville Technical College and the EDCT Division and must be committed to service excellence. Demonstrate and instruct fundamental knowledge in the area stated above. Observe and provide constructive and useful feedback while engaging and promoting classroom discussion. Available to instruct day or evening and some weekends, based on a prearranged schedule, AND Coordinate with other instructors in the program to cover classes in the the event of instructor illness or last-minute emergencies. Demonstrate proficiency with course-specific technologies, software and other materials as required. Record and report student assessment utilizing NSC and GTC forms and certificates.
