The Opportunity:

The KJCF Quest Clinical Fellow in Brain Health and Multimorbidity is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated clinical academic to develop their research career at a world-class University. We are looking for a motivated clinical academic to work with established senior colleagues and to develop over the course of the Fellowship their own research programme related to Brain Health and Multimorbidity. We welcome applications from clinical specialties at all stages of lifecourse, from neonatology to medicine of the elderly, and all relevant medical specialties. The research will focus on how multimorbidities can impact on brain and mental health throughout life.

Applicants must be medically qualified, have full GMC registration, and to have completed relevant postgraduate qualifications in their specialist area. They must already be in a consultant post or within 6 months of CCT. The successful candidate must hold or have submitted a PhD/DPhil/MD at the time of application and be of the standing required for an appropriate honorary contract of service with the NHS. This appointment requires an Honorary Clinical Contract. This is an integrated appointment between the University and NHS Lothian. You will therefore also be issued with an Honorary Clinical contract by NHS Lothian. You should be aware that if your contract with NHS Lothian is terminated your employment with the University will be terminated, and vice versa.
