東京品川_Optronics Team Leader – In-Cabin Camera Systems_BRAIN IX

Tokyo April 21, 2026 Full Time

Valeo is a tech global company, designing breakthrough solutions to reinvent the mobility. We are an automotive supplier partner to automakers and new mobility actors worldwide. Our vision? Invent a greener and more secured mobility, thanks to solutions focusing on intuitive driving and reducing CO2 emissions. We are leader on our businesses, and recognized as one of the largest global innovative companies.

  • Camera System Architecture & Design:

    • Lead the optronic system design, defining the critical specifications for the entire camera module, including lens assembly, image sensor, and the associated electronics.

    • Architect the optical system, specifying requirements for lens performance (MTF, distortion, FoV, stray light mitigation) and leading the technical selection of optical components and suppliers.

    • Architect the electronic imaging system, leading the selection and characterization of automotive-grade CMOS image sensors based on key performance indicators (Dynamic Range, Quantum Efficiency, SNR).

  • Image Quality & ISP Tuning:

    • Define objective image quality metrics and lead the validation using industry-standard tools and methodologies (e.g., Imatest, light labs).

  • Hardware Integration & Validation:

    • Oversee the electronic design and layout for the camera module, ensuring signal integrity for the high-speed MIPI-CSI2 interface between the imager and the system-on-chip (SoC).

    • Develop and execute comprehensive validation plans for the integrated camera module, covering optical performance, electronic functionality, and environmental robustness.

    • Lead all root cause analysis efforts for complex issues related to image quality, hardware performance, and system integration.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership:

    • Serve as the central technical authority for the camera module, collaborating with Mechanical, Software, and Systems engineers to ensure seamless product integration.

    • Manage the technical relationship with camera module, lens, and image sensor suppliers to guarantee component performance and quality.

Candidate Profile

Education & Training:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Optronics, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or a closely related field.

Professional Experience:

  • 5+ years of dedicated experience in the design, development, and mass production of digital camera modules.

  • Demonstrated mastery of the complete photon-to-digital pipeline, with deep, hands-on expertise in both lens systems and CMOS imagers.

  • Proven track record of taking a camera module from concept to launch in a high-volume industry (automotive experience is highly preferred; machine vision, drone, or premium consumer electronics experience is also valuable).

  • Experience in a lead role, defining technical direction and making critical design decisions.

Key Competences & Skills:

  • Technical:

    • Optics: Expert in lens specification and optical performance metrics. Proficiency with optical simulation tools is a plus.

    • Imagers: Deep knowledge of CMOS image sensor architecture, performance trade-offs, and characterization techniques.

    • ISP: Hands-on experience tuning complex ISP pipelines for challenging environments.

    • Electronics: Strong understanding of camera electronics, including power delivery and high-speed serial interfaces (MIPI).

    • Validation: Expertise with lab equipment (spectrometers, light sources) and image quality analysis software (Imatest).

  • Transversal/Professional:

    • A meticulous, data-driven approach to problem-solving.

    • Ability to work autonomously and lead technical investigations with a clear vision.

    • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex optronic concepts to a cross-functional audience.
