At Optiver, business continuity and comfort is critical to our success. As a global trading firm, the office infrastructure and experience must be optimised at all times. The Shanghai office requires a dedicated experienced Facilities Manager to ensure building systems, critical infrastructure, and vendor performance operate at maximum efficiency, safety, and reliability at all times.

This role is one focused on preventative maintenance, risk management, compliance, and business continuity.

Some of the things you could be involved in are:

Facilities & Vendor Management

  • Lead day to day management of all building and facilities vendors, holding partners accountable to strict service levels and performance standards.
  • Define, maintain, and continuously improve preventative maintenance programs across all critical systems.
  • Coordinate and oversee maintenance of power, UPS, HVAC, fire systems, access control, and server room infrastructure in line with global standards.
  • Manage vendor contracts, service schedules, compliance documentation, and cost controls.
  • Ensure all contractors operate safely, with appropriate permits, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance.

Preventative Maintenance & Risk Management

  • Own and maintain preventative maintenance calendars, ensuring zero missed critical services.
  • Conduct routine risk assessments across plant, equipment, and infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities before they impact operations.
  • Develop mitigation plans and ensure follow through with vendors and building management.
  • Monitor building management systems and infrastructure performance to proactively address issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assets, compliance records, and statutory inspections.

Incident & Business Continuity Management

  • Act as escalation point for facilities incidents, ensuring swift resolution with minimal disruption to trading operations.
