This position supports technology-based educational, clinical, and academic systems and projects operated by the School of Nursing, including video recording and video conferencing solutions, high and low-fidelity simulation integration, virtual simulation integration, standardized patient simulation integration, computer-based training modules, network applications, online and blended courses, and partnerships with clinical and interprofessional partners.

What you'll do and what you'll bring:

Position Function:

Support technology-based educational, clinical, and academic systems and projects operated by the School of Nursing, including video recording and video conferencing solutions, high and low-fidelity simulation integration, virtual simulation integration, standardized patient simulation integration, computer-based training modules, network applications, online and blended courses, and partnerships with clinical and interprofessional partners.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for School of Nursing faculty, staff, administrators, students, and associated university technical support, and clinical and interprofessional partners via phone, e-mail, in-person, videoconference, and via remote assistance.

2. Serve as technical support for learning management technologies and other applications used to support teaching and learning, including simulation products and equipment, network applications, telehealth, and clinical encounter and scheduling software; includes providing training and support for these applications to faculty, staff, students, administrators, and clinical partners.

3. Support the use and course integration of the high and low fidelity patient simulators and virtual environments/simulations. This includes telemedicine equipment and maintenance, use, and ability to troubleshoot both the simulators and the equipment that controls them.

4. Support the use of video recording solutions; includes recording simulations, presentations, volunteer patients, and other media elements for students, faculty, staff, administrators and clinical partners.

5. Obtain American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification and ensure continued maintenance of credential.

6. Install, support, maintain, configure, and secure hardware for faculty, staff, administrators, and student employees and NSITC computers.

7. Maintain, support, backup, and update the department’s software; includes coordinating School systems with University systems, such as the print management system.

8. Assist with the maintenance of the School of Nursing’s website, multimedia content, and related online materials.

9. Maintain current knowledge of emerging hardware, software, and communication technologies.

10. Support and distribute SITC evaluations, surveys, and reports needed for School of Nursing reporting functions to the appropriate parties.

11. Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

12. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

o A bachelor's degree, an equivalent combination of education and additional years of experience, or four years of additional related experience will be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

o At least three months of experience working with Mac and Windows based computers, system installation and configuration, servers, multimedia applications and troubleshooting; knowledge of various computer platforms and computer software.

Preferred Qualifications:

o Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.

o Additional years of experience working with Mac and Windows based computers and networks.

o Experience working in a Learning Management System (LMS)

o Experience working in Canvas Learning Management System

o Experience with FileWave MDM or equivalent
